The Feast of the Presentation occurs 40 days after Christmas because Christ was presented to the Temple at the end of His mother’s period of purification as required by the Law of Moses. It was not when He was circumcised, as is often mistakenly supposed. The Presentation will be celebrated February 2nd by the Western Church and February 14th by the Eastern Church, each having their own days designated as the Birth of Christ. Our Pesher will be published next weekend on February 6th, God willing, of course.
When my Peshers have fully vetted the Calendar of the Established Church, I will begin to work on the Holy Days unique to the Celtic Church. Remember that the purpose of the Christian calendar is pedagogical and represents the Procession of the Holy Spirit.
The significance of the Presentation lies at the very foundation of Christianity: “thus, to fulfill all righteousness.” Mary was a Virgin Bride and a Virgin Mother of the Great Cosmic Star Child: Jesus Christ our Lord. She stands as the Mother of Zion in its specific meaning as the Messianic progenitor: “a woman shall compass a man.”
But before you can understand any of this, I must teach you the “Idealist” or “Pesher” interpretation of the Book of Revelation. I have been using Isaac Newton’s methods as well as those taught at Qumran. We have said that St. Stephen was the Antipas of Revelation chapter 2, the firstborn begotten of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The “Satan” of Revelation 12 does not refer to an angelic being, but a certain man who held a specific “satanic” office prior to the Fall of Jerusalem. And it is fulfilled again and again, as that office is revived from generation to generation by “the accuser of the brethren.”
Once upon a time, China and the Mongolian hordes fulfilled the prophecies of Gog and Magog. The Idealist School would say that a different identity can be ascribed today. An explanation for this and more comes in the next Pesher.
