And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
Revelation 16:21
Thus far, our focus has been on the first 24 hours of a solar nova. Its effects are daunting and frightening. Virtually all of the death and destruction happens on the first day.
Surviving such an event seems like a waste of time. Most people will likely live their lives and do nothing to prepare. Given the size of the world’s population at over 7 billion, it is possible that there might be a dozen people or so who will survive having done absolutely nothing to protect themselves. Like the people who were lucky at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, who walked away from Ground-Zero after the respective nuclear explosions, it is probable that someone will survive the first 24 hours of the next solar nova completely by accident. But it is like one in a billion.
In the nova before last, no one survived except perhaps a small band of extra-terrestrial travelers, if we believe the ancient mythologies about the gods, and some oblique hints in the Bible about the “heavenly” host. In the last nova – which we believe was a lesser nova that occurred approximately 6,000 years ago – it was the one involving Noah and his family. We think they were the only survivors, but there is some gray areas in the biblical narrative. In those times, most people were racist and anyone who was not of your clan or tribe was considered a “beast.” We do not know if Noah loaded “humanoid” or Neanderthal “beasts” onto his boat.
Likewise, we are not entirely sure that the Earth was inundated completely, because, as we have asked before, “How would Noah have known the extent of the Flood and the accompanying disasters from inside his essentially windowless submarine?” And how did that dove find the freshly picked green olive branch after over a year’s inundation? We are not doubting the biblical narrative; we just recognize that “all” does not always mean an arithmetic “all” in the Sacred Writings.
We have already mentioned the debris field which accompanies the solar blast wave. There is evidence of tiny beads called “tektites” which can be found in various places on the Earth. They were found on the Moon and Mars and everywhere our space program has been able to sample the dirt. These beads can only be formed in the “relative” temperatures of a nuclear explosion. Volcanic eruptions do not produce tektites.
Robert Felix believed that tektites were formed by naturally occurring nuclear explosions in the Van Allen Belts. This is possible. It is also possible that such beads were formed by a solar explosion. The Van Allen Belts would not have produced tektites on the Moon or on Mars, unless they both once orbited Earth much closer than they do now.
Donald Patten took the time to count the craters on Mars, on the Moon, and on Mercury (at least on the sides which NASA provided images to inspect). Patten says those craters could have only been caused from the collision of boulder-sized debris created by a solar nova. He believed that a binary red dwarf caused the last nova when it passed too close to the Sun. He thought it was a recurring event, but did not want to speculate when the next encounter would occur.
The Earth was pounded, as well, but the scars of that catastrophe are hidden in the depths of the sea and the sediment of an ocean-swept landscape. Noah’s boat, if it were merely made of wood, would not have survived the pelting of the debris. If it were made of fiber reinforced geopolymer, it would have remained intact, just like the pyramids, which many believe have survived the last two novas.
From dust to tektites to boulders – it will all be radioactive. The hull of Noah’s ship would have had to be at least six feet thick to endure the pounding and protect the occupants from the constant radiation.
We think the largest chunks of the debris field will stall somewhere around the asteroid belt. In fact, it can be argued that the asteroid belt is the remnant of previous novas, as is the Kuiper belt.
Some of the debris will get caught in the orbital path of the planets of the inner solar system. If the prophecies of Merlin (see Merlin Part 3 of 3 above) are true, the orbit of Mercury will become elliptical and will cross the orbital path of the Earth, becoming a new nemesis like Mars was after the last nova.
Venus will be pushed out further as well. Some of its atmosphere will be lost; it will cool. Venus will become a better prospect for human habitation than Mars. All the planets in the inner solar system will experience a renewed elliptical orbit. Earth’s climate will become more extreme because of that.
If the Moon is on the sunny side of the Earth when the blast wave hits, it will be pushed closer to the Earth, perhaps, it will collide. If it is on the opposite side, it will be pushed further out and will form a more elliptical orbit around the Earth, producing more extreme tidal effects.
Are you mentally fatigued, yet? You cannot plan for everything and if you think that an escape on a space ship would be the best way to go, you are probably too late. You would have to clear the asteroid belt before you would be at a “safe” distance from the blast wave and debris field. It takes two years at best to reach Mars; the asteroid belt would take another six.
NASA claims that it no longer has the technology and know-how to get a manned space flight to the Moon. Seems unbelievable, but maybe the claim that we ever went to the Moon is just as unbelievable. They are trying, but keep pushing their launch dates further out.
James McCanney claims to have the technology to do it. Will our politicians give him the time of day? Fat chance.
A venture capitalist with a vision could finance a viable privately-funded space program. McCanney’s science would cost only the fraction of NASA’s budget. Elon Musk has shown both the vision and resources. But the waters are shark-infested.
Money might be better spent on building geopolymer survival pods. For the price of a Tesla and with similar tooling that we use to make a Tesla, we could build them by the hundreds of millions. Some of them would have human occupants; others would have animals. The rest could contain supplies with beacons for survivors to find them. They could become our “chariots of fire.” More to come.
