It is a discussion of the Christian custom started by Jesus in the story found in the Gospel of John Chapter 13 in which He washed the feet of His disciples following the Last Supper. Full of theological, liturgical, and cultural significance, this author attempts a rare presentation on its importance to the Christian mission.
It also corresponds significantly to the astrological ages, the Age of Aquarius in particular. Known as “the age of the water bearer” – see the discussion in Part 2 of our Merlin series (link above) – Jesus must have known that in the future Conflagration, it will be the people who learn the humility of this practice who will survive and build a truly Christian world in the age to come.
