Survival Praxis #45 – Earth’s Magnetic Reversal, Part 1 of 3

The sun’s normal magnetic field strength is about the same as the earth’s, less than one gauss. . .
[The sun reverses polarity] every 11 years. . . We don’t know why.

Earth’s Magnetic Field

Scientists tell us that Earth’s electromagnetic field originates in the Earth’s core. For that reason, they believe that it is composed of an iron/nickel alloy that has been magnetized. Because Earth spews magma from volcanoes and such, they also believe that the farther down you go, the hotter it gets.

However, this belief may be more religious than scientific, as will be shown below. Tradition has it that “Hell” is at the center of the Earth. According to religious dogma, Hell is supposed to be a hot place. It is the home of God’s archnemesis, Satan and the place of fiery torment for departed spirits.

Presupposing this hot core, scientists tell us that it is molten iron. But as Douglas Vogt has pointed out on many occasions, there is a thing called the “Curie temperature,” in which a metal will lose its magnetism when it becomes hot enough to become a liquid.

To overcome this contradiction, scientists will tell us that “Yes, that is true, but because the density of the core is so great, the liquid acts as a solid. So, the Curie temperature rule does not apply.”

Of course, we have no means of directly testing the hypothesis because no one can get that close for precise observations and measurements. The deepest hole ever drilled by man was in Russia and was only about seven miles deep. The Earth’s diameter is about 8,000 miles.

There is some credence to be had from observations made by inference. A glazier knows that “glass” or at least “leaded glass” is considered a liquid. In spite of the fact that by all observations, it appears to be a solid, given enough time, gravity will create a wavy or rippling effect to it as the molecules will slowly sag as it is pulled by gravity.

We have mentioned Professor Pierre-Marie Robitaille’s theory of the liquid sun several times on this website. He believes that the Sun, as are all stars, is composed of liquid, metallic hydrogen (LMH) and because it is a liquid and not a gas, it manifests all the properties of a solid because of its density. In other words, it is a liquid that acts like a solid because of the force of gravity. Gasses cannot produce gravity but liquids can.

How dense a liquid must be before it is considered a “solid” may not be knowable. It is difficult to parse the nomenclature, and I prefer not to indulge the minutiae of this debate, but simply to acknowledge that if something is dense enough not to be penetrable, then it is a solid.

Douglas Vogt, of course, who is featured prominently on this website, believes that the Earth’s inner core (or the inner, inner core – depending upon how many layers you believe there are) is a “modulation point” which transforms “information” into reality. This is a part of his “Theory of Multidimensional Reality,” which is a philosophical view of metaphysics.

I will not be discussing that theory here as it is one pertaining to “first cause” metaphysics. But you must always keep it in the back of your mind because it is a theory which believes that the modulation point would manifest the same properties of a dense solid.

James McCanney believes that Earth’s core is the remnant of a supernova explosion. It was a stellar chunk which became Earth’s planetary seed. It spent subsequent eons as a comet passing through space and orbiting our Sun. It accumulated dense layers of cosmic dust through electromagnetic attraction and then when it reached a size with significant gravitational attraction acquired enough mass to become a planet. The same processes of accretion occur today as they did in the past, but at a much slower rate, as Earth has now a much more circular orbit and its oribital path has since been cleared of debris by its previous acquisitions. That would only change if Earth were “bumped” into a different orbital path.

There is a certain elegance and poetry to this cosmic story. In none of these theories is there any absolute exclusivity. Much like the tale of the 7 blind men describing an elephant, each theory seems to add a truthful component, but none that are complete.

Regardless, whatever theory you believe, Earth’s core manifests the properties of a solid. So, we shall begin there.

The Core: Hot or Cold?

The next question to answer is whether the core is hot or cold. When I say “cold” I speak in relative terms to something in comparison to its immediate environment. Something hot to the human touch may be “cold” in comparison with other substances.

As I have mentioned before, density represents a collapse of movement at the atomic level. The lack of atomic movement represents the loss of kinetic energy. The loss of kinetic energy means the loss of heat. In nature, we discover that the denser the object, the colder it is. So, based upon this train of logic, it seems illogical to believe that the farther down you go towards the Earth’s core, it gets denser but yet it also gets hotter.

We know that Earth’s magnetic field – its primal, permanent field – attracts the cosmic rays and channels them to various places. They tend to migrate toward the poles and while they enter near the physical poles they do not enter exactly at the poles but are bent into a loop which follows the core. It does not enter the inner core. It is too dense, remember? It is impenetrable. Rather, they loop around to follow the convex contour of the core and are trapped by the mantle. We think that is where the heat is generated and is propagated outward because of the centrifugal momentum of Earth’s rotation. The mantle is not made of pure iron or nickel like the core, so there is some resistance to the current. The resistance produces the heat.

Because these forces have great velocity, they sometimes collide. In other words, like a magnet, these electrical streams will attract when there are opposite polarities, and repel each other when they share the same charge. These collisions create heat.

I do not want to get into this too deep. Earth has various bands or belts of electrical current depending upon whether the magnetic field has captured electrons with a negative charge, or protons, which have a positive charge. McCanney says he has identified 17 of them. Perhaps, someday, to make calculations for localized effects, it might be worthwhile to know which bands are over your head and under your feet, but for our general understanding, we will envision the electromagnetic field as one emanation shaped like an apple.

Magnets take various shapes. When you played with magnets as a child, you will remember the horseshoe shaped magnet. But others were shaped like a stick of lumber, like a 2×4. Or perhaps, they were disk-shaped. But did you ever play with a round one in the shape of a ball?

Professor “PORPIS”

An anonymous scientific thinker has been posting videos to this YouTube website

He propounds a scientific hypothesis which he describes as PORPIS:

PORPIS is an acronym for Planetary Orbital & Rotational Position Interaction Schedule. My PORPIS thesis claims that the positions of the planets does in fact have direct effects on earthquakes, volcanic activity and atmospheric events on Earth. Furthermore, that these types of events can be predicted in the future. . . PORPIS also explains the displays of the sun – the 11 / 22 year Hale Cycles / Sun Spot formation, trajectory and polarity / Solar Flares / and CME’s.

I have tried to contact him and get to know him better. He has not responded. So I will continue to call him Professor Porpis.

He provides extensive visual demonstrations of how a ball-shaped magnet would work. Essentially, try to imagine a marble with colors which swirl like an ice cream cone of chocolate mixed with vanilla. Or imagine the Yin/Yang symbol if it were shaped as a ball and not a two-dimensional circle. Or go to his channel to see his visual representations which are based-upon actual scientific charts of the Sun’s magnetic field if you still can’t visualize it.

The magnetic field forms bands which wrap around the Sun like wide and then narrowing belts.

What you will discover is that a “flip” in the magnetic field does not involve a physical flip of the solar core, nor even a 180 degree flip in the field itself. But rather, it represents the slow rotation of the Sun’s core – in this case, it is 11 years for a reversal and 22 years to a complete rotation – to which the dominant polarities switch places as in the turning of this three-dimensional “Yin/Yang” magnetic field.

For the Sun, while the solar atmosphere/oceans rotate every 24 days at its equator and 30 days at the poles, the inner core rotates at a vastly slower rate of once every 11/22 years. We don’t know why the core’s rotation is so slow, but considering that Jupiter’s orbital period around the Sun is 11 years, it is reasonable to suspect that they are either tidally locked with each other, or magnetically locked.

Consequently, Earth’s magnetic core would share the same properties as the Sun. While Earth’s crust rotates once every 24 hours, the magnetic core rotates at a vastly slower rate of every 12,068 years, if we follow the Vogt timeline. But a reversal would be roughly half of that.

There is no “standard” science on this question. Google Search produces links which shows that scientists are all over the place with estimates which usually range from 200,000 years to 750,000 years. But then they tell us that the process can occur in as little as 7,000 years.

It may not be perfectly synchronous if Earth’s core is not perfectly spherical. If it represents a jagged rock after its ejection from a supernova, then these rotations would represent the tension and sudden release of a jammed gear. This process would be violent.

Earth is tidally locked with the Sun, but it might be magnetically locked with other celestial bodies in the solar system, such as the planets Jupiter and Saturn. However, no obvious synchronicities can be identified. While the Vogt theory believes the Sun novas, every 12,068 years, or every 1,017 Jovian cycles. We do not know what other factors are in play. Saturn’s orbit is 29.4 Earth years and orbits the Sun 410 times every 12,068 years. So, perhaps, a combination of factors are required to unlock the mantle from the core, and then the crust from the mantle. Ben Davidson’s research ought to be consulted for an up-to-date source on the science.

Revisiting the Lunar Effects – Again

Earth, on the other hand, is tidally locked with the Moon. In relation to size and mass, the Moon has a greater effect on Earth than does Jupiter or the Sun. It is physically close.

Consequently, the tidal nudges of the Moon seem to be a more probable existential cause in pulling or dragging (whichever the case may be) Earth’s magnetic core than any other celestial body.
