“Just the facts, ma’am.” Perhaps the most famous line of Detective Joe Friday from the 1960s television classic series, “Dragnet,” it represents the never-ending effort of serious people to separate “truth” from its “drama.” The risk of getting mixed up in the personal crises of movement leaders has kept me from joining any over the years. I just want the facts. The works of dead men suit me just fine.

Jupiter again – Stefan Burns has noticed that massive solar storms are being projected toward Jupiter, which now is 90 degrees behind Earth’s orbit. Why these storms did not occur late last year when Earth was in alignment with Jupiter remains to be explained.
