A new category has been added to the Navigation Bar above: Online Books. I have moved some of the books in the “Articles” category over to “Online Books” to simplify it, but also to give me the opportunity to add material. Each month, I will add a new book beginning with the ones I have published from over a 40-year period. Then, I will add books by others that I feel will be useful to your research.
Surviving a solar nova requires technological knowledge but also a sociology which can become the foundation of civilization. That is why there is so much theology, philosophy, and historical commentary on this site.
An observation has been made by cynics that only the bad people survive because they are too mean to die. That is only true if there is an antecedent society upon which they can inure themselves. Parasites that rape and plunder can only survive if there is a pre-existing and productive culture upon which to rape and plunder. Consequently, as with all parasites, once the host has died, they will die, as well.
In a post-nova scenario, there will be no parasites because we will all be living in a state of nature in which productivity will be required of everyone. There will be so little to steal that everyone will be required to form societies for mutual cooperation and sustenance.
Thus, it begins again.
