Ben Davidson tells us that the galactic current sheet has already enveloped the solar system like the turbulent clouds of a thunderstorm. It probably arrived at the Carrington Event in 1859, in which telegraph wires caught fire and which may be responsible for the Earth’s declining magnetic fields ever since.
