April 4th, 2021: Easter

The first half of my review of Chan Thomas’ “Adam & Eve Story” – which is mostly about Earth’s cataclysmic past and future – has been published to the Posts category “Remains of the Day.” The second half will be published as a future Pesher on the subject of Deism – probably for the Pentecost, 2021 Pesher.

Today is Easter. The defect in Christian liturgy is that it doesn’t have one for Passover, even though its celebration is enjoined by St. Paul (1 Corinthians 5:8).

The Celtic Church observed Passover, but its liturgy was lost when the Latin tradition prevailed late in the seventh century. “Messianic” Christians are trying to reconstruct it today, but are still wandering in the wilderness because they are trying to copy Rabbinic Judaism. They need to be reconstructing Pre-Exile Judaism, which is not so easily done. It was a family-based culture in which the “Congregation” represented the “gathering of the houses.” Their Passover was celebrated on the respective family estates, not in Jerusalem at the Temple. More another time.

Christ is Risen!
