Please remember Rob Skiba in your prayers today as he has reportedly been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at his local hospital for an acute respiratory condition. His friend and colleague, Zen Garcia, has been reporting on his condition and notifying his YouTube audience of the situation. He recently returned ill from a conference and reports are that others at the conference have come down with the condition.
As you know, we feature Rob Skiba’s websites and discuss his subject-matter contribution to the topics of this website. I do not know him personally, but I have read and listened to his material for many years and appreciate his contribution to the Body of Christ. He is in his early 50s; so it is reasonable to believe that he will respond well to treatment and make a recovery.
But I have noticed in my local obituaries – as perhaps you may have in yours – that younger people have been dying suddenly and from ailments that defy explanation. We live in the end-times of “plagues and pestilences.” We should not take a cavalier approach to our movements among the general public, but take to heart the hygienic wisdom of the ages and start every day with prayers as our Lord Jesus commanded us.

Update from the Garcia’s is that Rob Skiba has stabilized. He is still in the hospital, however. When we come down with something, it usually takes a few days for our immune systems to get the upper hand. As far as I can tell, he is not receiving any extraordinary treatments. Even though there are plenty of horror stories, most medical professionals are indeed professionals and many of them are Christians. Our Heavenly Father will send to Rob the people he needs to help him. JWS

Zen Garcia should be publishing a new update tomorrow. He is as close to Rob Skiba as anyone I know and will, no doubt, have an update for us on his condition. I will report on it in a new posting as soon as I know or you can go to Garcia’s YouTube channel and follow it yourself. Keep the faith. JWS
